Keg Toss
Disclaimer: If you are some beat nerd you may not be able to lift an empty keg. Do
not attempt this if you are.
Update: Several People have contacted me regarding difficulty throwing
the keg. Most often this is because they have not "housed" the keg. before you
attempt a keg toss you will want to learn how to "house" a keg. Click Here
Step 1: House the Keg
Step 2: Grip the Keg
Fig 1.1
Much like the Kegstand you will be required to firmly grip the keg. The
difference between this and the kegstand grip is that you will be placing your right hand
on the bottom of the keg and your left hand on the top of the keg as opposed to both hands
on the top handles. Your gripping technique when you actually place the grip is up to you.
Step 2: Lift the Keg
Fig 1.2
After you have
your grip you should then lift the keg over your head. Keep back safety in mind and
properly bend at the knees so as not to do any damage. Rember, your legs are stronger than
your back. Keep this in mind when lifting a keg. Once you are in the position of
figure 1.2 you are ready for the actuall toss.
Step 3: Toss the Keg
Fig 1.3
Poise yourself.
You are ready to throw the keg. Bend slightly at your knees and take four quick steps. On
the last step, the moment before the release, crouch slighly and bring the keg as far
behind your head as you can get it. Move your arms in the forward direction. Release the
keg when your arms realise full extension. If you do not release the keg you will be
required to do 3 keg stands and run around the part naked.
After the keg is in motion it should resembe figure 1.3. If it does face the party, yell,
and grab your crotch.
